Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Simply click on the 'Get Started' button on our homepage and follow the sign-up process. You can sign up with your email address and create a password, or use providers like Google and Facebook for quick registration.
Is there a free plan available?
Yes! We offer a free plan with basic features to get you started. You can upgrade to Pro or Enterprise plans as your needs grow. The free plan includes a limited number of monthly clicks and custom domains.
How do I create my first tracking link?
After creating your account, navigate to your dashboard and click 'Create Link'. Enter your long URL, customize your short code, and optionally add UTM parameters, campaign details, or set link expiration. Your tracking link will be ready instantly.
What are UTM parameters and why should I use them?
UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters are tags you add to your URLs to track where your traffic is coming from. You can add utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content parameters to your links. This helps you understand which marketing channels and campaigns are driving the most clicks.

What pricing plans do you offer?
We offer flexible plans starting from free for basic use, with Pro and Enterprise tiers for growing businesses. Each plan includes different limits for monthly clicks and custom domains. Visit our pricing page for detailed information on features included in each plan.
What are the plan limits?
Plan limits include monthly click limits (how many times your links can be clicked) and custom domain limits (how many branded domains you can use). Free plans have basic limits, while Pro and Enterprise plans offer higher limits. You can view your current usage and limits in your account settings.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll get immediate access to new features and higher limits. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the end of your billing cycle.
How does billing work?
We bill monthly or annually depending on your preference. You can manage your billing information, view invoices, and update payment methods from your account settings. We support multiple currencies for international customers.

Custom Domains

How do I add a custom domain?
Go to Settings → Domains and click 'Add Domain'. Enter a subdomain you own (e.g., links.yourcompany.com). You'll need to add two DNS records: a TXT record to verify domain ownership, and a CNAME record to point your domain to our servers so link redirects work. Both records are shown in the setup dialog with copy buttons for easy setup.
How does domain verification work?
After adding your domain, we provide a unique TXT record that you add to your domain's DNS settings to prove ownership. You'll also need to add a CNAME record pointing your domain to our servers — this is what makes link redirects work on your custom domain. Once both records are added, click 'Verify' in our dashboard. Verification typically takes a few minutes but can take up to 24-48 hours depending on DNS propagation.
Can I use a root domain (e.g., example.com) instead of a subdomain?
We recommend using a subdomain like links.yourcompany.com because CNAME records — which are required to point your domain to our servers — do not work on root/apex domains (e.g., yourcompany.com) per the DNS specification. If you must use a root domain, check if your DNS provider supports ALIAS records or CNAME flattening (Cloudflare supports this). Most traditional DNS providers like GoDaddy and Namecheap do not offer this option.
Do you provide SSL certificates for custom domains?
Yes! We automatically request SSL certificates for your custom domains. You can monitor the SSL status in your domain settings. Once issued, your branded links will be served over HTTPS for secure connections.
Can I set a default domain?
Yes, you can set a default domain that will be used for all new links you create. This is useful if you have multiple custom domains. You can change your default domain at any time in Settings → Domains.

Analytics & Reporting

What analytics data is available?
We provide comprehensive analytics including: total clicks, unique clicks, geographic data (country, region, city), device information (device type, OS, browser), referrer sources, and click timelines. All data is available in real-time.
Can I see where my clicks are coming from geographically?
Yes! Our analytics show you the geographic distribution of your clicks, including country, region, and city-level data. You can see which locations are generating the most traffic and tailor your campaigns accordingly.
What device information is tracked?
We track device type (desktop, mobile, tablet), operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, etc.), and browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). This helps you understand how different audiences interact with your links.
How do I view campaign performance?
Navigate to the Campaigns section in your dashboard to see performance metrics for each campaign. You can view total links, clicks, unique clicks for each campaign. This helps you measure the effectiveness of your marketing initiatives.
Can I filter analytics by date range?
Yes! You can filter all analytics data by custom date ranges. Choose from preset options like today, last 7 days, last 30 days, or set custom start and end dates. This makes it easy to analyze performance for specific time periods.

Account & Security

How secure is my data?
We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption. We use JWT (JSON Web Tokens) for secure authentication and our servers are hosted in secure data centers with daily backups.
What is multi-tenant architecture?
Our platform uses a multi-tenant architecture, which means each organization (tenant) has its own isolated workspace. Your data is completely separated from other users, ensuring privacy and security for your campaigns and analytics.
How do I reset my password?
Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link. For security, these links expire after 1 hour. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account from Settings → Account. Note that this action is irreversible and all your data, including links, campaigns, and analytics, will be permanently deleted.
